Recently all of my friends have been sharing random facts about themselves. These things circulate around Facebook every few years, I've noticed. I love reading them! You just never know what you're going to learn about someone- it's a fun insight into a person's life.
I am slightly late to the party because I was working on my list but then forgot about it for a week or so. Oops. So I posted it on my Facebook today and wanted to share it here, too.

14 Things About Me
1. There are only a few movies I could watch over and over and over again and not get tired of... these include Elf, When Harry Met Sally, and Despicable Me. PIRANHA GUN!! OH YEAAAH!
2. I'm not a very physically affectionate person. In general, I like my personal space to stay personal. This doesn't apply to my hubby and kid, though.
3. I LOVED middle school. Looking back, those were by far my favorite years in school. It baffles me how many people hated it! But I think part of why I liked it was because my insecurities and worries about what people thought of me didn't kick in until early/mid high school. So I just was who I was and I loved it. I miss those days.
4. My favorite season is winter. I love snow, Christmas, warm soup and hot chocolate, crisp weather, baking, holiday lights, everything.
5. I LOVE candy. Like, way too much. Also cookie dough, cake, ice cream...
6. I go through a gallon of milk in less than a week, by myself. I eat a lot of cereal and there are certain things I just have to have a nice cold glass of milk with!
7. I really, really want to be a runner. I always have. I'm really romanced by the idea of it but I've never really felt like I had the time to dedicate to being consistent about it. I was getting into a good routine when I got pregnant, so I kept that up for as long as I could (it was mostly jogging and walking). I put over 150 miles on my tennis shoes since last December!
Now that I'm staying at home with Caleb, I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
8. When time and money allow, I would love to go back to school to finish up my teaching degree and then get my master's in library science. I would love to be a school librarian/media specialist when all of my kids are in school. I also have dreams of owning my own business.
9. I am passionate about fostering and adopting children. Lucky for me, so is Andrew, and we both want a really big family. We feel like as long as we're enough to have a home and the ability to provide for children, we have an obligation to take care of children who desperately need a family. I am so excited for the time to be right to start fostering children.
10. Along with the last one... a lot of people have laughed when I tell them I want five or six kids. I can't even count how many people told me that I'd change my mind after I had my first. Nope! If anything, now that I have a child and I'm experiencing the joy that comes with being a parent, it makes me even more excited to have a large family. Andrew, too.
11. I'm a pretty crafty person. I love to scrapbook and make cards, but I also have been learning to sew/quilt and I've attempted knitting (I'll leave that too my mom) and painting (I'm awful). I really get excited to try new things, even if it turns out I'm not very good at them. Recently I reopened my Etsy shop and I've been working hard making cards and stuff to sell, and I'm excited about the possibilities of where that could take me.
12. One time I lied on a vision test (in third grade) because I wanted glasses. As fate would have it, my vision is now awful and only going to get worse every year.
I am also legitimately colorblind. Please don't ask me what color stuff is, it's annoying.
13. I LOVE board games and card games and wish people would play them with me more. However, I'm not crazy about long strategy games, though I can enjoy a game of Settlers every once in awhile.
14. I've recently decided to learn calligraphy and I'm really excited about it!
