One third of my baby's first year is gone! Caleb is growing fast. He gets more and more fun every day- we love to make him laugh, play peek-a-boo with him, read with him, and listen to his velociraptor screeches all day long (actually, that last one is not so awesome).
He is a super active boy. He can't sit still, kind of like his daddy! Tummy time has turned into "flail all of my limbs around because I want to MOVE" time. He's already teaching himself how to scoot around, so I feel like he'll be crawling soon. He tries so hard to lift his body up, and then he gets mad when he can't quite do it. He can lift his chest up most of the way. And he can spin around and end up in a completely different spot if we give him enough time. It's not intentional, yet, but still pretty cool.
One of the highlights of our month was the Seahawks winning the Super Bowl! It was an awesome game and we had so much fun. We love our team!
We had a doctor's appointment today (which is why I waited a day to post this). Here are the stats.
Caleb weighs 16lbs, 2oz and is 26in. long! That puts him in the 64th percentile for weight and 86th percentile for height. Don't ask me where he gets those tall genes from, because I have no idea!
He's a super healthy guy and even the doctor was impressed with his motor skills. Yay!

Right now, Caleb's favorite things include:
- Hanging out in his jumper (he doesn't really bounce yet, though)
- Being startled by Andrew and I- it makes him giggle, especially when he's anticipating it
- Putting anything and everything in his mouth
- His Grover toy
- Sitting in his high chair playing with toys while we cook or clean the kitchen
- Being NAKED!
- Looking at books
- Listening to music! His favorite songs are "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King, "Do Re Mi" from Sound of Music, and "The Song of the Cebu" from Veggietales! He always laughs when these come on and we sing them to him.
And now for photos! :)
